Teaching
As a teacher and mentor, I hope to leave students with skills and information they will find useful for years to come. I have achieved this in several different roles --- as an editor of mulitple publications, as a senior member of a research lab, and as a graduate teaching assistant at two universities.
My performance as a teaching assistant has consistantly received strong student evaluations and was recognized in Spring of 2021 with an award for excellence. I have also been afforded the opportunity to co-produce instructional materials for my department's flagship skills course, and to manage instruction of that course as Lead TA.
Online instructional modules
In the summer of 2020, I worked with instructor Stacy Forster to develop a set of online instructional modules for use during the COVID-19 pandemic. These modules, which combined short videos with interactive exercises, proved so popular with students they are now a permanent fixture of course content.
